Holcot is a Christian Group Holiday Centre on the outskirts of Edenbridge, in the lovely Kent countryside. Whilst its history lies within the Girls' Brigade organisation, in November 2002 Holcot was saved from closure by the John Coldman Charitable Trust.
Thanks to their intervention Holcot is now able to welcome groups of all denominations and from many other organisations (primarily in the voluntary sector) … even hosting large/extended families and overseas groups.
The self-catering facilities are ideal for small to medium sized groups of up to 30 people for meetings, training, residential holidays, and retreats. The dormitory style accommodation is particularly well suited for children's, youth groups and extended families, with a private garden, indoor recreation hall and multi-purpose ball court offering a vast array of games equipment.
Peacefully situated just 15 mins from the M25 at junctions 5 & 6, Holcot is operated on a strictly 'not for profit' basis, with a two night/three day stay costing just £40 per person (minimum of 15 paying guests). Extra nights are £10pp.

Holcot itself is an exclusive use venue and has many of the comforts of home plus a few extra luxuries such as ultra-fast fibre WiFi, DVD player (with collection of movies), and a smart TV with free satellite channels.
Main facilities in the house include a fully equipped kitchen with two ovens, large fridge, large freezer. microwave, toaster and all the crockery/utensils needed. There is a walk-in wetroom for disabled persons, large dining room, separate sitting room, 7 bedrooms, laundry room, 4 toilets and 3 showers.
The exterior has a private car park, large back garden with indoor games/recreation hall, ballcourt, table tennis, picnic area with tables, hopscotch, giant draughts and plenty of other games equipment etc.
The games hall has its own stage, plenty of tables, chairs, large pull down screen, pool table and exercise mats. (There is a nominal charge of 50p for the pool table and the games hall heating is available via a pre-payment meter).
Groups are required to bring their own first aid items but there is an emergency kit kept on the premises and a public access defibrillator on the front of the house for emergency use.
FAM Trust is an independent charity (reg no 1092332) which began as the Friends of Holcot. It was originally formed by a group of like-minded Christians who came together in the late 1990’s, intent on saving the centre from closure.
They went on to work alongside the JCCT, raising funds for the main renovation and maintenance projects, whilst also helping with the ongoing, day-to-day running costs such as gardening, administration, and household/laundry expenses etc.
Over a c25 year period they exceeded the expectations of their founding trustees and went on to add award-winning projects supporting the local community. For further information please refer to their own website: www.fam-trust.co.uk
